Adam Lambert to headline Manchester Pride

Adam Lambert has been announced as the first act to headline this year’s Pride Live festival in Manchester.

His performance at Manchester Pride will be part of his Velvet Tour of Europe, and will be one of his two UK gigs.

Manchester CEO Mark Fletcher said: “We are beyond thrilled that Adam has created a space in his tour to join in our celebrations of LGBTQ+ life in Manchester.

“As a charity that campaigns for LGBTQ+ equality all year round it’s incredibly important to us that we showcase the breadth of LGBTQ+ artists who provide inspiration to all.”

Lambert who has sold over three million albums worldwide and is also the frontman for Queen said: “I am so excited to perform at Manchester Pride for the very first time! Something I have always wanted to do! I keep hearing that LGBTQ + representation is on fire over there and I can’t wait to be part of it and see you soon!”

Manchester Pride takes place over this year’s Bank Holiday Weekend. The Manchester Pride Live event is on 29 and 30 August at the Mayfield venue.
