Footballer comes out “without fears”
Jakub Jankto, the Czech International player has some out as gay.
In a Twitter video the 27-year-old midfielder for Sparta Prague said that he wanted to live his life “without fears”.
“Like everybody else, I have my strengths, I have my weaknesses; I have a family, I have my friends,” he said.
“I have a job, which I have been doing it as best as I can, for years, with seriousness, professionalism and passion.
“Like everybody else, I also want to live my life in freedom without fears, without prejudice, without violence, but with love.
“I am homosexual, and I no longer want to hide myself.”
In a statement Sparta Prague said that Jankto had spoken with the team about his sexual orientation some time ago.
“Live your life, Jakub, they said. “Nothing else matters.”
The official Premier League Twitter account posted: “We’re with you, Jakub. Football is for everyone.”
