Courmayeur – simply the top

It’s time to plan for the upcoming winter! On the sunny side of Mont Blanc you find the slopes and charms of Courmayeur. With plenty of character and a great ski terrain, Courmayeur is ready to offer you a top-quality winter holiday.

Courmayeur is a modern equipped ski resort with loads of genuine atmosphere and high-quality offers, located on the Italian side of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain of western Europe. It is truly a top choice for all skiers, with a lively village and stunning restaurants.

The approximately 100 kilometres of slopes range from easy to more challenging, all in a fabulous panoramic position, situated at 1,210-2,755 meters. You will find lots of beautiful intermediate runs, plenty of opportunities also for beginners, while experts will particularly love the off-piste terrain, especially the world’s longest lift-served run “Vallée Blanche”, as well as the unique heli-skiing opportunities.

What makes the skiing in Courmayeur and surroundings so magnificent, on top of the snow and the great panoramas, is the numerous mountain restaurants making the day complete with gastronomic breaks whenever you feel like it.

Beyond skiing

If you’re not skiing, you won’t be short of things to see and do in Courmayeur.

From browsing the plethora of shops and boutiques along cobbled streets, to enjoying a lively café and bar culture at after-ski time, this is a charming and interesting place to explore at all hours of the day.

The experience on the new Skyway Monte Bianco cable car can be enjoyed by everyone, all over the year, unless there are health problems caused by high altitude.

The three stations, Pontal D’Entrèves at 1,300 m, Pavillon du Mont Fréty at 2,200 m, and Punta Helbronner at 3,466 m, are connected by two cableway sections, which are protected spaces built in glass and steel that harmonise with the surrounding environment. The cabin rotates a full 360 degrees along the route, affording a full stunning view of the surrounding peaks.

The intermediate station offers a panoramic sight on the opposing sides of the Val Veny and Val Ferret, enhanced by the large glass surfaces of the building.

To further enhance the feeling of well-being, there are also some places that offer visitors truly special experiences, such as the chance to bathe in the warm spa waters with views of Mont Blanc. Pré-Saint-Didier Thermal Spa boasts whirlpool baths with varying intensities, relaxing baths with still water and underwater music, toning cascades, themed saunas in wooden chalets, aromatic steam baths, a mud-treatment area, colour therapy rooms, aromatherapy rooms, relaxation rooms to admire the views and much more.
