Pride Life Issue 30

Welcome to the latest edition of Pride Life, the UK’s biggest circulation free LGBTQ+ magazine.

It’s been a weird eighteen months or so, but at long last it seems that most travel restrictions have been lifted or relaxed, and it’s time to look forward to dusting off that passport, shining up that Louis Vuitton, and heading off to some of the planet’s most LGBTQ+-friendly holiday destinations. From trendy Arctic retreats to your actual bit of posh classical culture, we have loads of vacation suggestions for you in our annual travel issue, all in co-operation with our valued Hilton travel partners and issue sponsors, the global hotel choice for the discerning LGBTQ+ traveller.

But we’re not just focussing on travel. We’re also reviewing some of today’s best and upcoming LGBTQ+ music acts. Only a few years ago, young gay pop stars were hiding their sexuality – now they are openly celebrating it, and that is fantastic. Grab a look at some of the best LGBTQ+ acts to look out for in 2022.

And it’s not just the youngsters. We look at the amazing career of Maisie Trollette, the oldest performing drag artiste in the UK. If you haven’t seen this living legend, then what are you doing reading Pride Life in the first place? See her now. We also hook up with fellow artistes Jonny Woo and Le Gateau Chocolat, who are just as magnificent. And not forgetting Tom and Suzi, two of the best LGBTQ+ comedy talents in the UK today.
But it’s not just all about showbiz and stilettoes. There are lots of people out there who are working behind the scenes, ensuring that we are represented positively in both the workplace and the wider community. Take a look at our marvellous Diversity and Inclusion Advocates who take so much of their time in ensuring that we have the rights that we, as the LGBTQ+ community, deserve.

Please support them. And, if your own workplace doesn’t have a LGBTQ+ group, then why don’t you start one?

Enjoy the magazine. Stay safe. Have a great festive season.
