Gay couple makes Polish TV first

Two gay men will become the first same-sex couple to feature in a TV ad in Poland, where 80 towns have declared themselves to be “LGBTQ+-free” zones.

The ad for Durex condoms features three couples being intimate.

Real-life couple Jakub and Dawid Mycek-Kwiecinski are show cutting each other’s hair, kissing and embracing, with one of them reaching for a condom.

The ad is part of a campaign called “Loud in Bed” and will be aired throughout Poland, as well as the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Lithuania.

In April the couple handed out 300 Pride masks in Gdansk in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
