Pakistan bans Grindr and Tinder

Pakistan has blocked dating apps Grindr and Tinder on account of “the negative effects of immoral/indecent content streaming” and claiming that there spreading immoral content.
The move was made under the Citizens’ Protection (Against Online Harm) Rules, which are designed to halt hate speech and immoral content.
However, critics have seen this as an attempt at state censorship.
According to Out magazine, Pakistan has also requested that YouTube and TikTok also prevent “objectionable” material from being viewed in Pakistan.
Homosexuality is illegal in Pakistan.
